Our Goals
The primary goals of the Sustainability Management and Audit Office are to integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into all university activities and to create added value for society. Our objectives are organized under the following areas:
1. Raising Awareness
o Developing the university's sustainability policies, sharing them with internal and external stakeholders, and monitoring their implementation.o Creating and implementing strategies aligned with the university's sustainable development goals, while tracking and reporting on outcomes.o Promoting sustainable development awareness across the campus through various initiatives.o Organizing seminars and interactive workshops to raise sustainability awareness among students and enhance their understanding of sustainability.o Providing students with opportunities to reinforce their learning experiences through practical application in the field, by engaging in volunteer community projects related to sustainability.
Developing Partnerships with Public Sector, Private Sector, and NGOs
• Establishing strategic partnerships with public institutions to contribute to policy-making, develop, and implement community projects in the field of sustainable development.• Collaborating with the private sector to initiate joint ventures and develop innovative projects in sustainability.• Designing social and environmental responsibility projects in cooperation with non-governmental organizations, fostering awareness and encouraging participation in sustainable development within local communities.
Contributing to Policy-Making
• Supporting collaboration between the university and decision-makers at local and national levels to develop sustainable development strategies and policies.• Raising public awareness on environmental and social sustainability, increasing the university's contribution to policy-making processes.
Contributing to Sustainable Development at Local, National, and International Levels
• Local level: Working closely with the surrounding community to develop environmental and social projects, reaching all segments of society to promote sustainability awareness.• National level: Leading sustainable development projects throughout Turkey and establishing our university as an exemplary institution in this field. Collaborating with private sector and government institutions on joint projects.• International level: Contributing to global solutions for worldwide issues, participating in international sustainability networks, and enhancing the university’s impact through global partnerships.
