Sustainability Team
The Director of Sustainability Management and Audit at Istanbul Topkapı University and an Assistant Professor in Management, Aslıhan Güzin ALSAN has held key roles at some of Turkey’s leading universities, including Advisor to the Board of Trustees, Director of the Social Entrepreneurship Center, Education Coordinator, and Director of the Lifelong Learning Program (Tazelenme University). As a strategy development expert for the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, she bring extensive expertise in sustainability and academic excellence.
Aslıhan Güzin ALSAN holds the prestigious HEA Fellow (FHEA) title from the UK’s Higher Education Academy, which is recognized as one of the highest lifetime academic teaching and quality distinctions in the UK. She is also a certified coach candidate accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Throughout her academic career, she has taken on numerous administrative roles, such as membership in education committees, quality boards, international relations coordination, Erasmus coordination, and serving as Deputy Secretary General.
In addition, Aslıhan Güzin ALSAN was selected to a 20-member advisory board representing Turkish universities, established by the Turkish Ministry of European Union Affairs and the Turkish National Agency’s Higher Education Coordination, to contribute to the development of the Erasmus+ program. She has managed numerous projects in areas like educational excellence, next-generation teaching systems and technologies, sustainable development goals, and community services.
Through her efforts, Istanbul Gelişim University achieved notable rankings in the THE Impact Rankings under the Quality Education category: 96th globally and 1st in Turkey in 2020, 24th globally and 1st in Turkey in 2021, and 16th globally and 1st in Turkey in 2022. Her academic interests include leadership, organizational behavior, social entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainable development, and sustainable management practices.
